Your Mission Statement doesn’t have to be a Mission

A careful thought through mission statement will clearly define success and let you and your teams get after your goals with focus. 🏃‍♂️

But how do you get to this? 🤨

𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗼𝘄...

_Why did you get started?
_How will your work benefit others?
_What fundamental truth do you hold that separates you from others?
_How will you measure success?
_Who will you serve?

Then when you have some of these answers you can drill down as a team to get the 𝟰 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 -

> What you do
> How you do it
> Who you do it for
> How it helps them

Here at First Five that looks something like this,
𝗪𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆; 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀; 𝘁𝗼 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗽 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀, 𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁.

A bit of a mouthful but worth every bite! 👅
