I’m Richard Frost
Following a 13yr marketing career with Nike, I was part of the great cultural shift in 2020 who left to find ways to connect and serve the sports world in a more meaningful way.
(Okay, perhaps my wife being pregnant with our 3rd & 4th kids – yep twins! – and needing to buy our first house also played a part in the decision…!)
I’m privileged to say my last duty there was to lead brand marketing for Nike’s Team and Speciality Sports in the UK which included Rugby, Basketball, Netball, Cricket, Golf, Tennis, Skate & American Football.
I was lucky enough to work with some of the best athletes, teams and artists in the industry including the NBA, NFL, Tiger, Rory, Serena, Odell Beckham Jr, Efe Obada, Paul Rodriguez and Scottie Pippen; as well as dozens of Footballers when I led the Nike Football brand marketing offence – stars such as Eden Hazard, Raheem Sterling, Kevin DeBruyne, Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Frank Kirby as well as organisations like Chelsea, England and the Premier League.
Being part of the most exciting brand team in the world let me lead and learn from amazing teams across Retail Brand, Consumer Engagement, Influencer Marketing, Product & Campaign Marketing, as well as Community Impact & Enablement.
As a husband and father, I’m reminded everyday about the importance of personal connection and a legacy of enablement.
So it was with this goal in mind that I started First Five Marketing to help Athletes, Brands Teams and Charities better leverage Sport to move more people.
