Talking strategy…

Coming up with strategic direction for your business (or indeed someone else's!) can be difficult. 😣

We had a lot of DM's about yesterdays post, it seems it really helped to break strategic thinking down like this. 🧠

As requested, another way to take a look at strategy is the 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁/𝗪𝗵𝘆/𝗛𝗼𝘄 whilst using these 3 component parts...

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 - What obstacle are you trying to overcome?
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 - Why are consumers behaving that way?
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - How do you present a solution in a scalable & commercial way?

An example from a sportswear brand might be...

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺 - Brand X is a category leader in running footwear, but increasingly big Corps are seen as reckless manufacturers who endanger the environment. ♻️

𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 - Data shows that Gen Z are steadily switching to more sustainable products even if they're less cost effective, a standing accelerated largely due to the pandemic fuelling a renewed global community conscience - an opinion, more often than not, proudly shared within their social communities. 📱

𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - As part of product campaign offer customers exclusive access to new footwear for exchanging old running shoes in store, create sharable social content as part of pick up to benefit from social media advocacy. 👍
