When it comes to Social Media marketing, what does it mean to be data led?

If you're serious, use the data you have to make smarter decisions. 🤓

You don't need to have huge reach or pay for niche analysis agencies - you have some very relevant data at your fingertips in most social apps. 📱

Dependant on where in the marketing funnel you're hoping to influence you should track differing metrics.

One of the most relevant though is 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 which is basically tangible interaction with your content.

𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗲 = (𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲𝘀 + 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 + 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘀) / 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘅 𝟭𝟬𝟬

Less than 1% = low
Between 1% and 3.5% = average/good
Between 3.5% and 6% = high
Above 6% = very high (𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀/𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀)

In Instagram for example, you get an idea of impressions for each post, reach, engagement, top posts, and more.

You also get demographic info about your followers, including gender, age & location. 🔍

Tailoring your content, messages and even what time of day you post can radically improve your levels of engagement and also grow your audience much faster. 📈
